| I'm done. it is a magnificent thing and i feel wonderful.
The BBQ was fantastic, and thx to those who could make it. I am sorry for all those who couldn't make it, and for those who were not informed, my memory is short lived as of late.
I am greatly enjoying these recent days, and am anounncing another event. 4AM bike ride from LFP Mall to Mathews Beach on Tuesday June 19th [tis supposed to be sunny]. The sun is supposed to rise @ 5:10AM, so plan on a leisurely ride to the beach, then wait for the sun to rise. Thus far we have several ppl interested, so get back to me, if you are interested. Its nice and early so there are no excuses! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| | for two months my parents went on and on as to me getting a bike light; so that i would be ok biking in the dark; and today i mantion it and my dad flips out. Says he doesn't want me to ever bike in the dark. Thusly i cannot ride to a party where i know getting a car ride from anyone could be dangerous; and i wouldn't be able to obey my parents rules of not spending the night over at a girls house... this is fantastic | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| I am quite pleased, i managed to attend, and enjoy everyday of FolkLife. I had a Fantasmic prom. I got to hang out with people that i never see. And i feel closer to a lot of people that i Spent the weekend with.
And to those who i said i would smoke out today at FolkLife; I apologize for getting your hopes up but i bumped into people and got distracted; then lost interest, so didn't bother to get back in touch.

| | I went to a Bot-Mitzvah at my old temple 'Kol-Ami' this morning, where i used to be a teacher's Aide. and i came across one of the students that i was in charge of. In his fifth grade year at the Sunday school, there was an instance where the teacher left me in charge of the class for an extended period of time. this ended in rambuncious children; especially this kid that i had bumped into. As punishment i put him in the Closet. Apparently this has perpetuated a series of running jokes at the sunday school where if any body gets in trouble they come back saying 'at least i wasn't put in the closet.' this kid has held the proud title of Kid who was put in the Closet for ~ 3 years. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| i'ld like to start off saying, my appoligies to the tuesday-folk; i have been trying to make it, but i have a lot of work piling up and 2 AP tests comming up. Tomarrow is my pannel presentation for my senior project; and i hope it goes well. I wish that i could hang out with people more; and i kind of had a period of relaxation but now i'm back on the boat. I'll be able to join the Tuesday-ers and hang out with people once my AP tests are under controll.
Also LAN news; incase any one here knows about it; LAN should be moved to August; and we are going to try to release all information about event locatoin pricing and date by the end of the school year
thank you all and have a pleasent evening | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| I find it funny that the Bakini swim suit was named after the catastrofies on Bakini island that infected several hundred people with radiation poisening, because the bathingsuit would have the same amount of excitement as detination of nuclear devices.
but even more interesting is that the name stuck and now everyone has a Bikini, i think that more people should make light of human tragety and turn it into marketing teqniques.

While powering up for the first time, I salivate. My baby, she is born. | Philip Moss Robinson I Named her Ouroboros_Beast…
Grant McWilliams begins his lecture with a detached excitement that I have never encountered before. His expressions and movements imply that he is completely captivated in his field, but his voice is desolate in a manner that defies his enthusiasm. The excitement in the room is contagious as I fasten the parts together. Whilst powering up for the first time, I salivate. My baby, my computer, she is born. I name her Ouroboros_Beast, an infinite processing power which leaves others in its wake…
I have always been fascinated with computers and technology, from my, grey Apple ‘archive edition’ to the majestic processors of today, whose feats surpass all imagination. The more I use computers, the more I strive to understand how they operate. The process of learning has enabled me to help others solve their computer problems.
Ouroboros_Beast has been pushed to her limits in my exploration of computer arts (I even experimented with over clocking her processor and video card to better her performance with Maya, my animation software). Toy Story and its followers’ innovative cartooning captivated my interest in Computer Graphic Imaging (CGI) and 3D-animation. In response, I took several graphics and animation courses at both my high school and community college. I continue to explore the bountiful worlds of computer animation and graphics through independent study and by designing flyers and promotionals for my youth group.
The summer before my junior year, I took a class in designing and building computers. Grant’s class solidified my desire to choose computer science/engineering as my field of study. Not only did Grant teach me how to select the initial components for birthing Ouroboros_Beast, but he also exposed me to the world of Linux and open source software.
I am fascinated by the concept of open source programs and operating systems. It’s not just because the software is free, but completely malleable as well. In contrast to the corporate based Windows operating system, anyone who wishes can contribute to the development and advancement of the open source software. Everything can be personalized. Furthermore, all open source code has potential to be shared, which contributes to the greater good of the Linux operating system. Ultimately, I wish to reach a level in computing knowledge, where I can contribute to the advancement of open source development.
Through my studies, I have gained the skills and to create custom computers for others. I designed and built a gaming computer for my brother, followed by a high-end computer for my grandfather. In building computers for others, I have been exposed me to new advances in computer hardware as well as new products designed for specific applications. As of late, I have been identifying programs and hardware to help the physically impaired and blind for friends and family.
This year, Shorecrest High School gave each student a Mac laptop computer. Having a Mac laptop has further expanded my interest in computers by giving me a chance to compare the operating systems of my home PC with an Apple product. I am rarely without my laptop, and have made it a personal goal to learn how to best use its capabilities. As a result, I have been able to help other students and teachers navigate their Macs.
My main objective for senior year is to prepare myself for pursuing a college degree in Computer Science. For my senior project I am designing an ancestry tree generator using C-Sharp. I have also been keeping up with my home computer studies as well, by increasing my exposure to various operating systems (such as Mac, Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD), exploring computer security, tearing apart junk computers to see how they are designed and built, and thinking up new computer products for the market. I still feel stifled by my limited understanding of the computer realm, and look forward to increasing my knowledge in college and beyond. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| I Named her Jewish_Beast
Grant McWilliams enters the room, and begins his lecture in a monotone excitement that I have never encountered before. His expressions and movements imply that he is completely riveted with the topics and captivated in his field of interest, but his voice is desolate and monotone in a manner that he doesn’t even notice. As I put pieces together, I become more and more excited. Whilst powering up, I salivate. My baby, my computer she is born. I have named her Jewish_Beast, and that she still stands.
My entire life I have been fascinated with computers and technology, from my sturdy grey Apple paperweight to the laptops and towers that surpass all imagination in their feats. The summer before my junior year, I took a class in building and designing computers. My instructor Grand McWilliams was a developer for the Mandriva Linux operating system. Grant’s class was instrumental in my decision to choose computer science as my career path. Not only did Grant teach me how to select components, but he also exposed me to the world of Linux.
